Office Goddess

Year you graduated from high school?
1996 - Man, it seems like just yesterday I was being stared at and made to feel inferior for being "different" from everyone else. Good times...

Favorite book?

I cannot pick just one, so I will share them all:
  • The Color Purple by Alice Walker - simply a beautifully written novel. Good movie too!
  • Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier - the first book I ever read that was not found in the "Children's area" of the library.
  • Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse - teaches the importance of following your own journey and being true to yourself.

Favorite movie?
That really depends on my mood. If I want drama, my favorite is Cinderella Man; Action, I want the Die Hard Series; Comedy, I want Major League; Musical, I want West Side Story.

Favorite song/album?
4 CD box set of Aretha Franklin's Atlantic Recordings. The best compilation of music ever. All Hail the Queen!

Favorite season?
Fall - crisp air, the changing colors of the leaves, football, and the anticipation of the holiday season. Awesome!

Favorite thing to do on a rainy day?
Snuggling up on the couch with my kids and husband to watch a movie we have seen a few (hundred) times with homemade popcorn and a big comfy blanket.

With whom would you like to be stranded on a desert island?
Definitely my husband. If there was any person on this earth that I would trust to watch my back, keep me company and be my Zenith entertainment system it would be him. Plus, he always has a way of getting himself out of really tough situations. I am a lucky girl.

If you could take a vacation anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Egypt, Australia, and Fiji - in that order.

What's the most exotic place you've been?
Puerto Rico with a bunch of co-workers and our spouses. We had a blast! But, watch the taxi drivers, dude - they are crazy drivers!

Craziest thing you've ever done (nothing x-rated)?
Seeing as how you have taken the x-rated option out *sighs* - I met this guy at a party who I remained friends with even though he was involved with someone else. I was totally, butt crazy in love with him. Turns out he was my future husband and the father of my children, we just didn't know it at the time. Glad I stuck around.

What's the most embarrassing thing that's happened to you?
When I was in Jr. High School, I was at a pool party with a bunch of people from school. I thought I was the hottest thing ever when I got out of the pool and found a lot of guys (and girls) staring at me. It turns out, the top of my two piece swimsuit was not covering the appropriate areas.

What new skill or talent would you like to have?
I would love to learn how to remain "Oh my god, look at my rockin' ass" skinny, but still eat real food and never have to work out. That would be SO cool...

What's your Favorite sport?
FOOTBALL BABY!!

If you could have any super power, what would it be?
From Heros, Peter Petrelli's super power is cool because I could absorb everyone else's super powers and keep them to fight evil. OR Buffy Summers, because she is a hot chick with super human strength who kicks ass and saves the world. The really hot vampire at her beck and call is a total bonus.

What are you reading now?
Portrait of a Killer by Patricia Cornwell. It details her investigation into famous unsolved murderer, Jack the Ripper. So far, it is awesome and gruesome all at once. I love it!
